Coverack. Flat silver sand at low tide, tiny harbour and wind surfing school.
Kennack Sands. Safe family beach with a stream for small boys to dam. Two cafés and lifeguard in summer. Horse riding nearby.
Kynance Cove. Spectacular but busy in midsummer. Steep walk down but worth it. Beach at low tide only (NT).
Porthallow Cove. Peaceful pebble fishing beach. Dive centre for the Manacles Reef.
Church Cove, Gunwalloe. Ancient church actually on the beach itself. Small café and lifeguard in summer.
Cadgwith. Picturesque fishing village with gallery, pub, restaurant, and fishmongers in summer.
Trebah and Glendurgan. Sub-tropical gardens nestling in steep ravines on the Helford River.
Frenchman’s Creek. Made famous by Daphne de Maurier. Accessible on foot from Helford, beautiful creekside walks.
Lizard Point. Cliffs, seals, a lighthouse, and a café with the best view in Britain.
Poldhu Cove. Golden sands easily accessible from car park. Popular with surfers and bodyboarders. Café and lifeguard in summer.
Mullion Cove. Pretty working harbour, now National Trust owned. Mullion Golf Club nearby (visitors welcome).
